NUMCHAI OCEAN TRANSPORT COMPANY LIMITED

Numchai Ocean Transport Company has been conducting ocean transportation business since 1956 by transferring passengers and loading goods such as tin, cattle, and other agricultural products mainly rubber from Phuket to Cuntang district. Those products as well as some additional goods from Cuntang district were transferred further to Penang, Malaysia, Whilst parts and equipments for mining industry including oversea Chinese labors were transferred back on returning trips from Penang to Phuket. On the way to Phuket, gasoline, rice and sugar were loaded at Cuntang.

At this time, Numchai Ocean Transport Company raises registered capital from 1 million to 70 millions Baht. Resulted from two national policies of promoting the marine transportation business for energy saving and promoting the reduction of road and highway surface decay, we are financially supported by Office of Promoting Small and Medium Enterprise [SME] under the Ministry of Industry [MOI], Thailand. Now, Ministry of Industry is the biggest stake holder in the company.
NOWADAYS, WE PROVIDE SEVERAL OCEAN TRANSPORTATION SERVICES AS FOLLOWS :
-Loading drinking water and gasoline for battleships and ocean vessels anchored at Chalong BAy, Phuket, and nearby areas.
-Dredging water channel in the ocean and cannels.
-Oceania construction work such as dropping artificial corals along the Andaman coast (more than 500,000 corals).
-Laying down cable lines from Phuket Island to Yao Island, Klang Island at Krabi province, and Sarai Island at Satun province.
-Transferring building materials such as stones, building blocks from Krabi, Trang, Nakornsrithammarat, Satun to Phuket Island, Lanta Island, Phi Phi Island, and other islands in the Andaman Ocean.
-Removing debris and hazardous wastes resulted from Tsunami out of Phi Phi Island (60,000 Tons of waste and debris)
-Transferred white sand from Krabi to Pakklok, Phuket, for beach grading work.
