Aoki Trans can trace its roots back to the Edo period, with the granting of a license for maritime shipping to an agent in 1615. In 1914, that business was turned into Aoki Shipping Co., Ltd. There have been many changes since our establishment, but we have expanded our business in step with the post-war growth of Japan’s economy, providing comprehensive logistics services through a mastery of sea, air, and land shipping. In October 1990, with the hope of further expansion, we changed our name to Aoki Trans Co., Ltd. Taking the idea of evolving to meet the ever-diversifying needs of the times while providing better services as our motto, we still work to improve even today.
At Aoki Trans, it’s “Hoping for unending survival and expansion of the company!!”
(1) We want to be a richly creative company that never lets our customers down.
(2) We want to be a sound, healthy company that contributes to local community development.
(3) We want to be a sincere company that contributes to the greater happiness of humanity.
Based on these corporate principles, and in order to be the trusted, sound, and sincere company we need to be in order to survive, what underlies employment contracts between us and all our officers, employees, dispatched personnel, part-timers and others are business activities that adhere to laws and company regulations.
Aoki Trans provides our customers with advice on all aspects of export operations, and undertakes export customs clearance as well as the entire range of applications, permits, approvals and procedures with the different government agencies. Our trade staff, experts in exports, carry out export proxy work, documentation preparation, and transport arrangements safely, promptly, and reliably. We handle a great variety of freight, including the automobiles, motorbikes, outboard motors, industrial machinery, musical instruments, and plastic models that Shizuoka Prefecture is famous for. We have also continued to export mandarin oranges ever since 1908, apart from a break of seven years during WW2.
We offer a system to provide one-stop support for all our customers’ needs, from import customs processing to storage, inspection, processing, and delivery. We can suggest the optimal import routes to help you save money and provide appropriate advice for foodstuffs notifications, plant and animal quarantine, and other legal areas, helping you to get your freight from landing through to delivery safely, promptly, and reliably. Our customers trust us to handle a great variety of freight, including foodstuffs in general and daily goods, to say nothing of the black tea that Shizuoka Prefecture imports more of than anywhere else in Japan.
We book hold space and design fares on regular routes to North America, Europe, Southeast Asia and other regions, and provide agency services for the South Pacific and Ethiopia. We pay constant attention to shipping markets and information from ports around the world so that we can provide our customers with the latest information.
Storing or stockpiling goods was the beginning of human wisdom. The logistics (the work of shipping and storing things) that underpins our prosperous, stable lifestyles is very important work. At our Domestic Logistics Headquarters, we do not see warehouses merely as places to store things. Rather, we are expanding our warehousing business from the new perspective of bases for functions for storage, functions for logistics processing, and delivery. We have the largest sales warehouse floor area in the prefecture, at 75,200 m2, mainly in the Shimizu and Yaizu regions. At these warehouses, we use mechanized cargo handling and IT-based inventory management to respond to the diverse needs of our customers. Also, by merging our warehouses with the shipping networks of Group companies, we can offer a range of distribution services as a comprehensive logistics company.
We offer specialized air freight services, and can arrange everything from collecting your freight to loading it on the plane. We provide services suited to customers whose freight needs emergency handling.
By effectively combining land, sea, and air transport methods and considering all routes, regardless of whether they are in Japan or overseas, we can provide services to deliver your freight, whether an entire container or just small mixed freight, economically and safely. We have international multimodal transport agents well versed in how to make door-to-door services run smoothly, so we can provide high-added-value services to our customers. We also offer our own unique services that are linked with overseas.
We promptly and accurately grasp the daily-changing status of international distribution, using our wealth of information to offer optimal logistics based in Shimizu from Japan to the world, and from the world to Japan.
We provide total support for all types of domestic distribution, including arranging storage warehouses for products and raw materials, and operating a national delivery warehouse (Shipping Center) for products. The work of our Comprehensive Logistics Advisers is to provide proposals that match our customers’ needs by going that one step further in distribution, to “door-to-door + extra”. Are you interested in designing that “+ extra” with us?
